Typhoon Fung-Wong went trough Taiwan yesterday and crossed the eastern part of the island after having changed its trajectory twice. Now it is headed of Shanghai (China). Below are some pictures of typhoon Fung-Wong taken from Internet showing satellite images and variations of its trajectory through time.

For safety reason, a total of 2 700 people were evacuated in different districts of Taiwan, highways closed and 96 international flights departed from Taoyuan airport cancelled. Fung-Wong triggered lanslides in the district of Taitung. Regarding us, as Fung-Wong’s trajectory changed (passing through the east coast instead of the western one) we were safe in Anping harbor.

Le typhon Fung-Wong a traversé Taïwan hier, passant par la côte est de l’île après avoir changé de trajectoire deux fois. A l’heure actuelle, il se déplace vers Shanghai (en Chine). Ci-dessous, quelques images satellites du typhon provenant d’Internet ainsi qu’une illustration de sa trajectoire au cours du temps.

Pour des raisons de sécurité, un total de 2 700 personnes ont été évacuées dans les différents quartiers de Taïwan. Les autoroutes ont été fermées et 96 vols internationaux au départ de l’aéroport de Taoyuan ont été annulés. Fung-Wong a provoqué lors de son passage plusieurs glissements de terrain principalement dans la région de Taitung. Malgré l’absence d’importants dégâts, quatre personnes ont été blessées dans le sud de l’île et une personne est malheureusement décédée. Source: Taiwan Info (édition du lundi 22 septembre 2014). 

Nous concernant, la trajectoire du typhon Fung-Wong ayant changée au cours du temps (passant par la côte est au lieu de la côte ouest), nous étions en sécurité dans le port d’Anping.
