We are back!

Yes, it was a long time ago when I posted on this blog. The reason for my long silence was coordinating the GoJelly H2020 project, where all of our activities were reported mainly through the project homepage (www.gojelly.eu).
I am back with a piece of exciting news! Yesterday, we deployed the first model of our microplastic collector into the water of Kerteminde-Denmark. This work is one of the tasks we defined inside the EU project “HOTMIC” (Horizontal and vertical oceanic distribution, transport, and impact of microplastics). see the blog here for more information on this project: https://www.oceanblogs.org/hotmic/about/.

This is the first attempt toward designing a microplastic collector for operation in the aquatic environment. more will come soon, stay tuned 🙂
