Anchor weights, KOSMOS frames and bags, buoys, generator, deep-water collector, samplers, sensor, ropes and shekels, iron chains, hoses, cleaning rings, pumps, carts, more ropes, more weights, blinking lights, boxes, boxes and more boxes. In total over 24 tons of equipment arrived in Las Palmas with Poseidon and needed to be unloaded.

Along with it came our beloved working boats Wassermann and Rita.

It was a full day of moving equipment from the harbour of Las Palmas to Taliarte, preparing the mesocosms, getting the moorings ready for deployment, dealing with customs, and securing the equipment at PLOCAN. At the end of the day most of the equipment was at its place for next day’s activities and everyone looking forward to a good night sleep. With very busy days ahead of us.
