When I arrived back at the station a few days ago after a three week easter break from sampling it hit me instantly that something changed at the station since my last stay. Spring finally had arrived! The sun is shining bright, there are many birds around, everybody is smiling and the sampling is running well. Remembering that sampling days were grey and cold only a few weeks ago seems really far away now.

It’s a good thing that we chose to start in winter since the days are becoming longer now instead of the other way around.

So  keep positive – there will come sunshine!
