Today (Sept. 22^nd), it was time for our second Science Meeting. To get a first insight on how the experiment is going, we came together to discuss the first preliminary data. It was very interesting for everyone to get an overview over the current developments of all the different parameters. Important information for everybody was that all mesocosms started with the same water masses and community and that the alkalinity treatment went according to plan. Of course a lot of people hoped to see some effect of the treatment already but its too early in the experiment to draw conclusions. Two hours full of tense listening, vibrant discussion, and making plans. Now, we’re all very curious on the further progress and can’t await for the next meeting.
