Februar 2016 in Kapstadt (S\u00fcdafrika) auf dem deutschen Forschungsschiffes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portal-forschungsschiffe.de\/schiffe\/meteor\" target=\"_blank\">METEOR <\/a>startete, dabei zu sein.<\/p>\n<p>Die jungen Wissenschaftler aus sieben Nationen haben an Bord hautnah Forschung aus den Bereichen der physikalischen Ozeanographie, der marinen Meteorologie, der Biogeochemie, der Plankton\u00f6kologie und der Paleoozeanographie kennengelernt und miterlebt. Die Studenten wurden in einer Reihe von Messinstrumenten geschult, nahmen an einer Vorlesungsreihe teil und arbeiteten ein eigenes Forschungsthema aus, welches nach Ankunft in Rio de Janeiro (Brasilien) auf einem Empfang am 18. February 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The young scientists from 7 nations participated\u00a0actively in the research conducted during the cruise, covering physical oceanography, marine meteorology, biogeochemistry, plankton ecology, and paleoceanography. Expert training on a variety of observing instrumentation as well as lectures were provided. The students worked out a specific science topic that was presented during a reception at the end of the cruise on the 18.
