Our first speaker is Sarah Piehl who participated in the first GAME project on the biological effects of microplastics in 2013. In 2014 she started a PhD at the University of Bayreuth that also focuses on the plastic litter problem. On Wednesday May 17<sup>th<\/sup> she will speak about the monitoring of plastic debris using remote sensing methods.
