From Monday 1st to Thursday 4th, the 12th conference on Gas hydrates In Marine Sediments (GIMS12) held on at the National Taiwan University (NTU).<\/p>\n

During this week, more than 140 scientists (researchers, postdocs and PhD students) presented their work (through poster and\/or oral presentations) on various important topics related to gas hydrates (GH) such as:<\/p>\n

– the formation and destabilisation of GH in (shallow) marine sediments;
\n– the imaging of gas structures by seismic studies;
\n– the distribution and quantification of GH;
\n– the diversity and functionning of gas seeps, pockmarks and mud volcanoes;
\n– the role of biological processes at seep ecosystems;
\n– etc.<\/p>\n

Du lundi 01er au jeudi 04 septembre<\/em>, s’est tenue la 12\u00e8me conf\u00e9rence sur les hydrates de Gas dans les Sediments Marins (GIMS12) au sein de l’Universit\u00e9 Nationale de Ta\u00efwan (NTU).<\/em><\/p>\n

Durant cette semaine, plus de 140 scientifiques (chercheurs, postdocs et doctorants) ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 leurs travaux sour forme de\u00a0 posters et\/ou pr\u00e9sentations<\/em> orales sur diff\u00e9rents sujets concernant les hydrates de gas (GH) tels que:<\/em><\/p>\n

– la formation et la d\u00e9stabilisation des GH dans les s\u00e9diments marins (superficiels);
\n– l’imagerie des structures de gaz \u00e0 partir d’\u00e9tudes sismiques;
\n– la distribution et la quantification de GH;
\n– la diversit\u00e9 et le fonctionnement des chemin\u00e9es de gaz, des pockmarks et des volcans de boues;
\n– le r\u00f4le des processus biologiques sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes.
