We deployed the 2D system yesterday evening and shot 2D lines over the night up to early this morning.<\/p>\n

We recovered the system around 9.30 am and went back to another harbor, Kaohsiung (main one in the southern part of Taiwan) in order to fix a problem that occurred on one of the ship’s engines.<\/p>\n

We didn’t enter the port, just stayed in its vinicity. We waited the technician to come, giving us the time to continue processing the data, having a look at it in more detail and interpretating them more closely. From this, we made new plans and define the location of the next seismic lines that we want to acquire.<\/p>\n

Nous avons ensuite r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 le syst\u00e8me aux alentours de 9h30 et sommes repartis vers un autre port, celui de Kaohsiung (port le plus important <\/em>de la partie sud de l’\u00eele) afin de r\u00e9soudre un probl\u00e8me apparu sur l’un des moteurs du bateau.<\/em><\/p>\n

Nous ne sommes pas entr\u00e9s dans le port m\u00eame mais sommes rest\u00e9s aux abords de celui-ci. Nous avons attendu que le technicien vienne nous laissant ainsi le temps de continuer le traitement des donn\u00e9es, de regarder ces derni\u00e8res plus en d\u00e9tails et d’interpr\u00e9ter celles-ci plus finement. A partir de nos observations, nous avons \u00e9tabli de nouveaux plans et d\u00e9fini la localisation des prochains profils sismiques que nous souhaitons acqu\u00e9rir.<\/em><\/p>\n

The technician came in the middle of the afternoon (a small boat drove him up to our ship) and solved the problem early in the evening, letting us the chance to enjoy the sunset in the harbor.<\/p>\n

Le technicien est arriv\u00e9 en milieu d’apr\u00e8s-midi (\u00e0 bord d’un petit bateau de p\u00eache) et a termin\u00e9 de r\u00e9parer le moteur du bateau en d\u00e9but de soir\u00e9e, nous laissant le temps de profiter du coucher du soleil dans le port.<\/em><\/p>\n

Then, we went back to our study area and deployed the 2D system once again.<\/p>\n

Nous sommes ensuite repartis sur notre seconde zone d’\u00e9tude et avons d\u00e9ploy\u00e9, une nouvelle fois, le dispositif 2D.<\/em><\/p>\n
