{"id":340,"date":"2014-09-24T16:04:25","date_gmt":"2014-09-24T16:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oceanblogs.org\/being-a-young-marine-scientist\/?p=340"},"modified":"2014-10-01T10:39:02","modified_gmt":"2014-10-01T10:39:02","slug":"stop-off-kaohsiung-harbor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oceanblogs.org\/being-a-young-marine-scientist\/2014\/09\/24\/stop-off-kaohsiung-harbor\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop off Kaohsiung harbor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We deployed the 2D system yesterday evening and shot 2D lines over the night up to early this morning.<\/p>\n<p>We recovered the system around 9.30 am and went back to another harbor, Kaohsiung (main one in the southern part of Taiwan) in order to fix a problem that occurred on one of the ship&#8217;s engines.<\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t enter the port, just stayed in its vinicity. We waited the technician to come, giving us the time to continue processing the data, having a look at it in more detail and interpretating them more closely. From this, we made new plans and define the location of the next seismic lines that we want to acquire.<\/p>\n<p><em>Nous avons d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 le dispositif 2D hier en fin de soir\u00e9e et avons acquis de nouvelles donn\u00e9es jusqu&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui t\u00f4t dans la matin\u00e9e.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Nous avons ensuite r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 le syst\u00e8me aux alentours de 9h30 et sommes repartis vers un autre port, celui de Kaohsiung (port <em>le plus important <\/em>de la partie sud de l&#8217;\u00eele) afin de r\u00e9soudre un probl\u00e8me apparu sur l&#8217;un des moteurs du bateau.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Nous ne sommes pas entr\u00e9s dans le port m\u00eame mais sommes rest\u00e9s aux abords de celui-ci. Nous avons attendu que le technicien vienne nous laissant ainsi le temps de continuer le traitement des donn\u00e9es, de regarder ces derni\u00e8res plus en d\u00e9tails et d&#8217;interpr\u00e9ter celles-ci plus finement.
