This is one thing that I really appreciate in research (in addition to the research itself, of course!). We really have this chance of discovering the world and growing up with all these experiences so don&#8217;t give up your studies in if want to go in that direction even if sometime it&#8217;s difficult, it&#8217;s definitively worth the effort!<\/p>\n<p>But let&#8217;s talk about Taiwan now&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I arrived in Taiwan one week ago now and before the GIMS12th conference starts I took two days to visit Taipei (capital of the island) and its surrounding. I went to Na-Yung&#8217;s place (a young Tawainese musician, artist and designer) who warmly welcomed me in her country and gave me tips to visit the city and go to nice places in Taiwan. She brought me to a local restaurant where we ate beef noodles with vegetables and really good pieces of pork cooked with cinammon: delicious !<\/p>\n<p><em>Travailler \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9tranger permet de d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux horizons, de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et parfois, m\u00eame, de d\u00e9couvrir un nouveau langage comme ici \u00e0 Ta\u00efwan (langue officielle chinoise : le mandarin). C&#8217;est une autre facette de la recherche que j&#8217;appr\u00e9cie particuli\u00e8rement (en plus de la recherche, bien \u00e9videment !). Nous avons vraiment cette chance de pouvoir d\u00e9couvrir le monde et grandir \u00e0 travers toutes ces exp\u00e9riences. N&#8217;abandonnez-donc pas vos \u00e9tudes si vous souhaiter partir dans cette direction, cela peut s&#8217;av\u00e9rer parfois difficile mais \u00e7a en vaut vraiment la peine !<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mais maintenant parlons plut\u00f4t de Ta\u00efwan&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Je suis arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Ta\u00efwan la semaine derni\u00e8re et avant que la conf\u00e9rence sur les hydrates de gaz (GIMS12) ne commence, j&#8217;ai pris deux journ\u00e9es pour profiter de Taipei (capitale de l&#8217;\u00eele) et visiter ses alentours. J&#8217;ai log\u00e9 chez Ya-Nung (une jeune musicienne, artiste et designer ta\u00efwanaise) qui m&#8217;a chaleureusement accueillie et donn\u00e9 des conseils sur les plus beaux endroits \u00e0 visiter \u00e0 Ta\u00efwan. Drinks with snakes inside can also be found&#8230; Does anyone want to try?<\/p>\n<p><em>Dans la soir\u00e9e, je suis all\u00e9e au march\u00e9 de nuit de Shiling (le plus grand de Taipei) o\u00f9 l&#8217;on peut manger diff\u00e9rentes cuisines chinoises et ta\u00efwanaises ainsi que des fruits frais. J&#8217;ai m\u00eame trouv\u00e9 des boissons contenant des serpents \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur&#8230; Hmmm&#8230; Quelqu&#8217;un veut go\u00fbter ?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a
